ETHICAL STATEMENT
All our school uniform is sourced carefully and tenaciously to meet and exceed International Standards. Our uniforms are produced ethically - with fair wages and good conditions for employees, and through processes that respect the environment.
International Standards
All of our manufacturing and supply is SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) certified. This underlies our commitment to fair and good working conditions in the global supply chain. Further, our uniform conforms with the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) Code of Practice.
Environment
Over the years we have switched to 'Green' or 'Eco'-Uniform. This is where the polyester in the fabric is made from recycled plastic! It is one of the ways we - and so our students and parents - are supporting environmental protection and nudging industry change.
Further, all our uniform complies with the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX. This Standard OEKO-TEX is one of the world’s best known standards for textiles tested for harmful substances. It underpins customer confidence and high product safety.
A word on Teflon
Traditional Teflon (used to coats saucepans and other cooking implements) contain PFCs (PerFluoroChemicals). There is much information about the harmfulness of PFCs for the environment and for clothing.
There has been developed an alternative to traditional Teflon. This is Teflon EcoElite™. Teflon EcoElite™ is PFC and Fluorine free - and is Bio- based, renewably sourced, plant based and water based. It is widely used by every uniform manufacturer and supplier. We ensure that each and every single piece of uniform we sell is safe, harmless and fluorine or PFC free.
